AIAI’s Views on Railway Budget

The All India Association of Industries welcomes the Railway Budget presented by the Union Minister of Railways, Mr. D.V. Sadanand Gowda. The budget is pragmatic and forward looking with a vision said Mr. Vijay Kalantri, President, All India Association of Industries (AIAI)

The announcement to further develop  the country’s freight and passenger network,  as well as  the proposal to enhance the infrastructure of dedicated freight corridors is a move in the right direction which will facilitate the much needed impetus to the manufacturing and trade sector, besides playing a dynamic role in the development and growth of townships and industrial areas.

 Several significant proposals announced on Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), Public Private Partnerships (PPP), restructuring the railway board, outsourcing services, connectivity to remote areas will be instrumental in improving the efficiency of the sector and its overall progress  besides  subsidizing the transaction cost Mr. Kalantri added.
